We had a great experience with Kristina from Adventure Vets. We had our cat sedated and groomed and Kristina was patient and understanding. Our cat is anxious during these situations and dislikes grooming but he is much happier now with less hair! Thank you for helping him.

So happy to have found Kristina! She came and saw our dog John promptly after being unsuccessful with many vets not wanting to take new clients. Kristina saw us within 2 days and was so lovely you can tell she really cares. John had an ear infection and doesn't like stuff being put in his ears… Kristina was efficient and assertive which John needed to get the job done. His ears have already cleared up and he's so much happier to be on the mend. Highly recommended Kristina especially if your pet is a little harder to handle when it comes to procedures. Very grateful.

Absolutely fantastic really good service and such lovely people who clearly care very much for what they do. They visit me and my cats when they need a checkup and they also look after my/my dad's elderly dog who needs much attention and care. They deserve far more praise and I cannot recommend them enough. ☺️

Blondie

So good to have a mobile vet available. Came same day and gave great care and advice. Put us at ease. Excellent.

I have a very anxious dog who hates the vet with a skin allergy and biannual citopoint shots. Every vet trip has been traumatic inc bent needles and carpark appointments. Now he is carried to the lounge and given his shot before he knows what's going on and then he can run out the back and wonder what the hell just happened. Not only is it less traumatic for both of us but its cheaper too. I recommend them to everyone!!

Excellent bedside manner towards my two nervous cats. Would highly recommend this service. Reasonably priced as well.

A huge thank you to Kristina for visiting us and taking such wonderful care of our pet sheep Rosie. Her calm caring nature made the whole experience stress-free and it's clear she genuinely loves what she does. We're so grateful to have such a kind and knowledgeable mobile vet who comes right to your home. And very reasonable fees and quick availability too. Absolutely recommend! ❤️

Frequently asked questions

What is a mobile veterinary service?

A vet comes to your home to examine and treat your pet. This avoids a clinic trip and lets the vet assess your pet in a familiar setting.

What areas do you service?

Greater Launceston through the East Coast to Freycinet. Regular weekly routes cover East Tamar, West Tamar, and an East Coast circuit including George Town, Fingal Valley, Swansea, Bicheno, Coles Bay, Douglas River, Lake Leake, and Campbell Town.

Travel fees may apply.

Why choose a mobile vet instead of a clinic?

Less travel and less stress for pets, better assessment in their usual environment, easier for homes with multiple pets, and more flexible scheduling.

Services & Treatments
What services do you offer?

Home consults, extended consults for complex or behaviour cases, vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits, microchipping, general health care with diet and behaviour advice, chronic disease management, sedation for grooming or minor wound care, and in-home euthanasia.

Selected large-animal work is available.

Travel fees apply.

What you can’t do as a mobile vet?

Some treatments need hospital equipment and a team. Examples include major surgery, complex imaging, and overnight care. When something is best done in a clinic, we will organise a referral, share your pet’s history, and help you plan the visit.

We then continue care at home with follow ups, medication reviews, and comfort care where needed.

Can you provide emergency care?

What should I do if I find injured wildlife, and is there a charge for wildlife treatment?

Appointments & Visits
How do I book an appointment?

Please visit our booking page and fill out the online form. We will then contact you either via call, SMS or email (as per your preference) to disucss the date and est. time of arrival.

What should I do to prepare for your visit?

Have a quiet room or safe outdoor area ready, any previous records or vaccine cards on hand, and a list of current medications or concerns.

What if my pet is anxious or aggressive?

You are not alone. Keep your pet in a quiet room before we arrive and let us know about any triggers. We use calm handling and short breaks.

If needed, we can discuss gentle calming options or a mild sedative ahead of time so the visit is safe and low stress. We can also plan a gradual approach over more than one visit.
