The story behind Adventure Vets
United Kingdom – 2012
Graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012 and spent several years working across the UK in a mix of small-animal, mixed, and emergency practices.
Darwin – 2017
Moved to Australia, began working in Darwin.
Alice Springs – 2018
Worked in Katherine and Alice Springs as a mixed animal veterinarian, also involved in remote indigenous community veterinary medicine programs.
Tasmania - 2020
Moved to Tasmania during the 2020 pandemic to work at a well-respected clinic in Launceston, quickly falling in love with the island’s landscapes and lifestyle. During a freediving course in Bicheno, she realised how limited veterinary care was along the coast. And, from that spark, Adventure Vets was born.
Andrew Joined - 2022
Andrew came on board after 12 years working as a registered nurse. He brings steady care, dry humour and a very practical mindset to each day on the road. From assisting with patients through to keeping schedules and equipment in order, he helps everything run smoothly and quietly holds a lot of the operation together.
Today
Together, Kristina and Andrew make Adventure Vets a true partnership by combining their skills, care, and love of adventure to bring veterinary care wherever it’s needed most.
When we’re not with patients
When she’s not out on the road caring for animals, Kristina loves exploring new places both above and below the water. She’s happiest when diving into the ocean, discovering good food and wine, getting lost in a great book or on adventures with her bitsa Hamish.
Andrew brings his own energy to life outside the clinic. He enjoys Motorsport, keeping fit and trying to keep Kristina from getting more pets!
